With a golden, crunchy exterior and a tender bite inside, these buffalo cauliflower bites are perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish. Plus, they cook faster than traditional oven-baked versions, making them an easy go-to for any occasion.

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • ½ cup water or milk (for extra richness)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for extra crispiness)

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  • ½ cup hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot is my go-to)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or vegan butter)
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat up while you prepare the cauliflower.
  2. Make the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Coat the Cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, letting excess drip off. Then coat with panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
  4. Air Fry: Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Make the Buffalo Sauce: In a small saucepan, whisk together hot sauce, melted butter, honey, and garlic powder over low heat until combined.
  6. Toss & Serve: Transfer crispy cauliflower to a bowl and toss with buffalo sauce. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce!
