  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for extra crispiness, optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four thinner pieces. This helps them cook evenly.
  2. Make the Coating: In a bowl, mix together Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Egg Wash: In another bowl, whisk the egg.
  4. Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken piece in the egg wash, then dredge in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat evenly.
  5. Preheat Air Fryer: Set to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes.
  6. Air Fry: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated chicken in the basket in a single layer. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
  7. Cook: Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Serve & Enjoy: Let the chicken rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
