Ingredients

Scale

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional, for extra depth of flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Make the Meatballs

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix until just combined, then shape into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
  • Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

2. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly.
  • Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

3. Combine Everything

  • Return the meatballs to the skillet, stirring gently to coat them in the Alfredo sauce.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes until the meatballs are heated through.

4. Serve & Enjoy

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over pasta, rice, or garlic bread.

Notes

Tips for the Best Creamy Alfredo Meatballs

  • Use Freshly Grated Parmesan – Pre-packaged cheese doesn’t melt as smoothly.
  • Don’t Overwork the Meatball Mixture – This keeps them tender.
  • For Extra Flavor – Add a splash of white wine or chicken broth to the sauce.
  • Make It Lighter – Swap heavy cream for half-and-half or milk.
  • Add a Kick – Stir in a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
