  • Make it ahead! Assemble the croissants in advance and bake just before serving.
  • Try different cheeses. Swiss, cheddar, provolone, or even brie all work beautifully in this recipe.

What to Serve with Ham and Cheese Croissants

These buttery, cheesy croissants are delicious on their own, but they also pair well with:

  • Fresh fruit or a smoothie for a refreshing contrast
  • Scrambled eggs for a hearty breakfast plate

Frequently Asked Questions

Swiss and cheddar are classic choices, but you can also use provolone, Gruyère, or brie for a gourmet touch.

Can I make these ahead of time?
Absolutely! Assemble the croissants, store them in the fridge, and bake just before serving.

Keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes for the best texture.
